Sick of obtaining low amounts of useless visitors to your site? Well i want to inform you of a brand new underground tactic that produces myself $900 each day on 100% AUTOPILOT. I possibly could be here all day and going into detail but why dont you just check their website out? There is really a great video that explains everything. So if your seriously interested in making hassle-free cash this is the site for you. Auto Traffic Avalanche

Hi Lisa,

Great post! I've actually been asigned to start the social media campaign at my work. It kind of just landed on my lap. I'm no expert (or even close to the word expert) at social media. i've been researching and researching and researching like crazy just to understand how to use social media for business. It's a bit overwhelming but from your post you say to ask for help. So...HELP! The thing is I don't know what types of questions to ask. Am I the only person in this position?

I remember meeting you :) Thanks for pointing out the online presence audit. "Google yourself" should be added to the list. I even developed a virtual CV so my resume contained multi-media and lived online. Paper resumes are so last millennium!

Thanks for chiming in - great additions!

This is the most common misunderstanding of social networking that I encounter. Online activity doesn't effectively substitute for meeting people in person.

Thanks for stopping by to comment!

Hi Lisa! I also found my corporate job at a Fortune 500 company through what I call a social media job hunt "campain". I wasn't actively searching in traditional ways via Monster.com and Carrerbuilder.com but was actively searching within my social media network. It resulted in roughly a 30% increase in pay and my tips I give people are pretty similar. I also stress that if they're going to venture down the social media job hunting route that they need to audit their online presence first and foremost. Nothing, imho, could hinder someone more than inappropriate content being pulled when their name is googled for consideration for a job.

Though I don't have a job in social media, social media is part of my job. Needless to say, anyone searching for a job with social media will find this post very helpful and your tips are poignient. Great post! I'd love to meet for coffee and wax philosophic on some things in common about our jobs if you have time soon. I'm in Charlotte, too. :) I think we actually met at Mac's BBQ through Katie Morse not too long ago but it was very brief. Anyway, let me know and I look forward to content coming from you!

Lisa,
It is so great to see your success, it is well deserved! You are correct about embracing and taking every opportunity within your network to do what you love. I have taken your advice since the days back in the (PR) office and now I coordinate several groups on Twitter and LinkedIn ( my favorite is @KN2P) (Kids Need 2 Parents)
Keep up the advice, we all benefit from it.
